DOC Douro red wines are classified according to Porto and Douro Wine Institute (IVDP) in three categories: Colheita (Harvest), Reserva and Grande Reserva.
Grande Reserva is a single harvest wine, with minimal stage of 12 months, alcoholic grade ≥12%, exhibiting intense and complex aromas, with good color depth.
